Scotland Yard said on 1 May a protest on Edgware Road saw people affiliated, to the now proscribed, Terrorist organisation 'Al Muhajiroun' protesting against Shi'ite Muslims, chanting sectarian slogans and carrying inflammatory banners.

The force said the incident culminated in an attack on two members of the public who were beaten to the floor, punched, kicked and struck with wooden placards.

Taken from your link OP-Take that, nasty terrorists! Finally, the response a nation demanded......

They sound like a bunch of Yobs from a scummy football club who use Religion and not Sport for an excuse for cowardly beating...

Jordan Horner sounds like a right dingle berry hanging from a Pigs anus though
Horner is already subject to a five-year Asbo for spreading extremist religious views during vigilante patrols in east London that called for a Shari State in the UK.

There's actually a very good documentary from VICE here about the extent of the operations these gangs are involved in. All joking aside, these scummers would give the INLA or UVF a good run for their money:

I never ever want to see people like that on the streets of Dublin or any other town and city in the country carrying on like that demanding sharia law and such things. thankfully this isn't an issue for us though if people like that ever raise their heads above the parapet it must be nipped in the bud and them firmly placed back in their box.

    Yet...

Wait until the relatively small but rapidly multiplying Muslim population here reaches a critical mass.

    Then you'll see it.

asbos won't make a difference in stopping the men talked about in the article by the op . asbos are only a "look at us were trying to do something" when actually they are failing. they are much cheeper then actually patroling the streets hence why even though they don't work, they still exist. of course those who break them won't be jailed for their actions but breaking the asbo if caught.

For people who like this sort of thing, here's clip of some Muslims protesting in Dublin against a movie that they didn't like (and presumably didn't see) that wasn't made here:

It must be bloody exhausting being a Muslim in Europe.

What with being constantly infuriated by everything.

Qadeer Ahmed, apparently, according to other sources. Hell of a typo, though!

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Given this country's insecure need to show itself as being more "progressive"/liberal/open/tolerant than anyone else, I could see real problems here if it goes bad - our authorities will fall all over themselves to do nothing that might possibly offend anyone.

My attitude to the whole thing is very simple - if you choose to go live somewhere else, you learn the language and integrate into their customs and society.. not expect that country to change to suit you.

If that doesn't work for you maybe you should have stayed home or gone somewhere that better suits your world view.

looking at the numbers and projections for the future currently people on the islam buzz represent just over 1% of the population somewhere around the 50000 mark. by 2020 this is projected to have doubled to around 100,000. and by the early 2040s islam will be the second largest religion on the island. are the future projections accurate I dunno till will reveal all. never had any interest in islam or any other religion for that matter though each to their own and all that then a couple of things happened. along came the caliphate and those headbangers. and then that Dr Ali fella came out with some ridiculous suggestions with regard to overhauling the education system segregating kids banning musical instruments ridiculous stuff really when you think about it.

The way I see it once of the followers of islam on the island now and in the future live by the laws of the land and respect our way of life which in fairness they do then thats fine. though go down the road of wanting the sharia, like everyone else Im sure, to give one example I happen to care about the women in my life and would never want that bullsh1t hanging over their heads or in their lives. or overhauling education to start segregating kids and ban musical instruments. that sort of thing or wanting those sorts of things will only lead directly into a brick wall there is no other direction for it to go to me it would be unacceptable. so its best for all concerned that its put out there now. Donkey oaty posted a video of people marching I dont actually have a problem with that people have a right to do so once its peaceful and non-violent. though headbangers out marching with behead the infidel signs, kill everyone, sharia is the only way and such Im not down with that at all. leave the sharia nonsense to one side and overhauling the education system and such and things will be grand.

Really? Try going to some countries in the Middle East and live as you do here (especially if you're a woman). Let us know how you get on.....
who's doing that. no country has done it anyway. there is a difference between recognizing certain customs and respecting them and this "changing to suit people" nonsense

I think you should do a bit more research into the marches and demonstrations across the water and then tell me that certain elements aren't trying to - in some cases violently - change the existing societal norms to suit their agenda

I'll make it clearer.. everyone should have the right to believe and worship whatever they like so long as no-one else is harmed or unduly coerced by those beliefs... but no religion (be it Islam, Catholicism or whatever) should be able to exert pressure on the education or legal system of their host country at the expense of the existing society or cultural norms.

Do you honestly believe that there is not a large group of muslims who are calling for changes to the countries they reside in?
nobody said countries have changed, but that these groups expect a country to change to suit them. they have moved to these countries and now expect the country to change rather than them accepting that countries culture.
just for a quick reference look up sharia4uk, dr ali selims comments on changing the irish education system, and our old friend choudarys views on how the uk should change to suit islam.
And thats just off the top of my head I can probaby give you a hundred examples with a two second google search.

Was just going to say that, the bloke looks as though he was one his way to a ceilidh session when he was accosted by Islamist preachers and decided to join them.

unfortunately its more than just " a few nuts mouthing off"
And the point being that a sizable minority within these communities do not see integration as acceptable ( pew research polls that were posted in a previous thread)
While they may not achieve all of their aims they have had some successes such as the seperate sharia courts in the UK or the Law Societys guidelines to UK solicitors on drafting sharia compliant wills ( very interesting reading from a gender equality point of view
"this document would promote good practice in applying islamic practices in the british legal system" Nicholas fluck president of the uk law society.
just two examples of accomadations being made not just socially but in changes to the legal system

No? Ahhh, Jihad to be there.

My mate Abu Jihadi O'Reilly gets very shirty whenever we joke about stuff like that. He grew a beard for "Shave or Dye" and next thing we knew, he was walking ten feet in front of his Missus and kids and sporting a dish-dash. He's on a one man crusade to convert Cavan with the tag-line "You'll save a fortune on razors and your Missus won't be able to drive to the shops and spend your money". It's going down a storm. They call him the Mullah of Mullagh. *

I may have completely invented this, don't shoot me..
