Samsung has 2 year free warranty. So they shouldnt have charged you if it was a manufactures defect. I doubt you can get a rid refund now, as unofficial repairs void warranty

I have to agree with the last poster, there is a 2 year warranty and its very good but I think you may have voided it now although its worth calling Samsung call centre and seeing what they say, at the least don't say anything and send it in as the stock reply will be that there are out of warranty repairs so we will charge you or send it back. I would suggest that the fault could well be the mother board, when I worked for them we saw quite a few of this problem. If they don't repair on warranty it may be not really worth bothering with but check it out anyway. Good luck.
