My 4yr old indoor neutered male cat had been hopping in and out off litter tray from weds night til got home from work yesterday. I noticed very very light pink color to his pee (he only peeing tiny amounts) . Brought him to vet last night he got shot of antibiotics and shot of metacam. I've been giving oral metacam to administer for next 4 days. Anyhow does anyone know how long takes for for the antibiotics/metacam to start working. If he's not improved after weekend I've bring him back to the vet. Apart from the peeing he's eating and acting the same as always.

We've had that with our male.
Give it another day. Our cat responded well to antibiotics.

If it becomes a recurring thing, you might think of a specialist food. Expensive and quite fattening, we found.

Get as much water as you can into him all the time to prevent reocccurance.

Early on in our guy's life some bright spark vet though to put a catheter up him and keep him infor 2 days. Made the condition worse, stressed poor Jesper terribly and cost a lot.
I'd try different / more antibiotics before going down that route.

    It's not nice.
If no improvement tomorrow, contact the vet. These things can be very serious.

One of our cats used to get recurring UTI's when he was stressed. We got a cat drinking fountain for him and since then he hasn't had any more. He will only drink running water so we got a drinking fountain that has a running water feature in it. He loves it.
