would it be advisable to buy dollars now or wait for 6/7 weeks? A large group of friends are going to the US in mid March and we want to get the best deal possible.

    Nobody has a clue.

Best thing is buy 1/3 now, 1/3 in 2 weeks and 1/3 closer the time.

Upcoming Greek elections could spoil things for the Euro for the next while.

I would wait!! but unless your buying an apartment over there I can't see it being much to worry about!

I'm going to the US in early June and was wondering about buying dollars as well. Does anyone have any clue what the situation could be in late May/early June? Should I buy dollars early or is there any chance of a bit of recovery for the euro by then?

I think the rate will just continue going one way.

    Your going to the states

You asked about buying dollars 24 hrs after the ECB recognised that something had to be done in Europe.

Give it a few weeks, wait for a retrace to 1.15.

States is out now for a lot of people. God those trips to nyc at 1.40/1.50

I'd stick some euros on your credit card, use that to pay for stuff, best rate ull get.

As for changing to avoid a drop, id change if i thought it would go to 1.05 and under, but i don't see that happening, 1.05 to where it is Now, is not worth the hassle, unless your exchanging high volume. 10k etc
