Temporary Marking

I usually give the ewes a spot of spray when dosing/vaccinating to know the ones I've done. Problem is that I end up with multicoloured sheep after a while and it gets hard to mark them. Anyone know if there is a temporary spray available or some other way of doing it?

Don't use spray much, just one of those crayon markers, and just a dab on the top of their head.

+1 for the crayons. A spot in de head or a line down their face, usually gone in about a week depending on rain

Are they the same crayons that you get for the Rams?

    Would kids crayons do?!

Got a half dozen of these ages ago, they are the best I've come across. But any Co-Op store will have similar.

Marks lower down on the sheep will wash off quicker than say on top of the back. You could also start with a lighter colour and just go over the same spot with a darker one each time.

Or just dose them all the same day!
