Bit of an odd request, but I have a very particular usage requirement for an Android tablet and it needs to be loud and durable enough to take a good bit of wear and tear.

It'll be needed in a loud and busy environment so the alerts need to be heard, and it could get dropped and bumped so it needs to take a bit of abuse.

The specs aren't very important, it doesn't need to be fast or powerful.

    Any tips much appreciated.

you could buy a decent cheap and cheerful tablet and then just get a good case for it. theres lots of strong and robust cases on amazon.

Flashing lights alerts for notications and vibrations alerts- you need to activate it in settings in the hearing accessibility.
You would need to double check that it has this hearing accessibility setting to be sure that it work.
I used a Samsung s4 and get flashing lights and vibes fo messages and alarms.
A lot of my friends have iphone and it does not have this setting.

I was looking at tables obviousl Im more interested in Samsung tabs to link with my phone but notice that the Tab S has the flashing lights but the tab 4 does not.
I did not get a tablet.

So you need to shop around around try them out before you buy.
For noise level maybe check for front speakers or buy a Bluetooth wireless compact speaker like Jam.
