Hey guys I was look at upskilling, to allow me to broaden the jobs that are available to me. What is the process for doing fork-lift training with fas and does it take long? Will I have to study the safe pass seperately, my understanding is that it would be a requirement for warehousing now.

5 day course with Fas for a novice.
    3 day for a refresher .

    Safe pass separate. 1 day

fas has a long waiting list unless you are willing to pay for it yourself

try get in touch with your lec and see if they will pay for one for you by a company outside of fas

I know irish school or motoring do it
I done mine their, they were very helpfull
was 500 I think at the time for all 3 forklift licences
all paid for by my lec
normally they have a fund for every person if its for upskilling.

I am assuming that lec stands for Local Employment Club, which would be obair.

Okay, fingers crossed that's what he meant. Last time I was in there was before I went to college.
