    Hi there

I'm wondering if you can help me :)

I am currently thinking of enrolling into a bespoke one to one course with la college of creative arts in dublin Ireland

It is Ireland top make up school which is a big plus

The course I am doing is make up advanced eg special fx,drag make up,theatrical etc

It is a one to one course with me and a top tutor

I am wondering about sitting itec exams?
If I complete this course I will receive a la college of creative arts attendance certificate but I want to continue this to itec

I already have itec and cibtac diplomas level 2 in beauty specialist which included your make up but not advanced

I am wondering if I completed this course in la college of creative arts and put together a portfolio of case studies to the number set out by itec could I sit itec exams in this college or another willing college?

In my level 2 itec diploma in beauty specialist I completed unit 10 and unit 22 being make up and professional conduct and business awareness therefore I wouldn't have to complete these again?

I hope you can help me
I also have a salon and academy where I could complete the case studies no problem

    Thanks

if the things you have done are of the same standard i think you don't have to sit them once you have passed.
you will still need to pay for the course in full, it just means you wouldn't have to be around the days of the classes you have passed.

im not 100% sure as i know the fitness side more so than the beauty in ITEC.

but if its the same as sports.. you can sit the exams you don't have and not repeat others...

    Thank you for the reply

Do you think though I would be able to sit itec exams??
The bespoke course is 4-7 days intensive one to one training

And do you think if I complete a case study booklet portfolio for 50 looks as stated on the itec website I could sit the itec exams?

    Why don't you contact Itec!
I honestly couldn't give you a definite answer!!

do you mean you don't do the course at all and only sit the exams?
i can't imagine that would be allowed.

Yes I contacted itec and to be honest they gave me absolutely no help as always

They just said contact the college
When I contact the college they say the guidelines are set out by itec so contact them and itec say the college sets the guidelines

    Annoying
