Browns play one of their best games defensively of the season and the game freezes early in the 4th....
Well not freeze, was up 31-7 having recovered 2 fumbles and about 3 ints, figured I'd rest a few starters for fear of injury.Paused and went to depth chart but it wouldn't load the depth chart, just a blank screen and a loading wheel at the bottom, pretty annoying

Well flip me talk about a stressfull rematch.
First the pitch was covered in snow and continued snowing throughout, didn't think it would be a big deal until I realised both the sidelines and goalines couldn't be seen.
Smith and Kansas City recievers had now become elite, not a single pass dropped under contact the whole game and zero pressure could be put on Smith.

At half time the Browns were in a bit of a hole,24-10 down with the Chiefs getting the ball in the 3rd.
Browns had given up a stupid field goal just before half time, inside the 2 minute warning inside their 20,trying to push for a score before half time,Manziel throws a pick.
So Browns needed stops and needed them quick but they started well stopping the Chiefs on their first drive, they punt but Manziel drive's from his own 30 to reduce the deficit to 24-17.
Chiefs go on a long drive into Browns half, takes alot of time but the Browns force a 3rd and 15 on the 30,someone gets to Smith for the sack but he shrugs it off and then he takes what seems like an age in the pocket before he throws it deep to the endzone towards Bowe who's escaped the CB but safety Gibson reads it, come from deep and picks it off.
Again Manziel starting from his 15 goes the lenght of the field to level the game.
Chiefs get out to the 30 and then on a run play Charles goes up the middle where he's hit by Whitner who holds him up,2 more Browns come in and the ball pops out and recovered by the Browns.
Manziel hits Austin for the go ahead score and after another defensive stand another TD is added late on.

    Final Score 38-24 Browns

Big players for Browns after Douglas and Gordon were shackled by the Chiefs was Miles Austin who stepped up with 7 rec 163 yards 2 TD's.
And also Manziel who's legs got the Browns outta trouble a few times for 26 yards, not huge yards but vital at the time.

Well played, Alex Smith seems impossible to sack in this game, seems to need 2 or 3 in the backfield to get him

And the Packers get to the Super Bowl by a score of 17-10.
    A game of two halves.

The NFC championship game starts quite reserved. The Hawks elect to receive and the teams merely exchange punts until the game kicks into gear.
The Pack drive down the field and on a bootleg play action Rodgers realises he can take it in himself and does.
The Pack defence gets a stop and the Pack are driving down the field again. On second down from the 5 yard line (after a couple of big plays to get there) Rodgers finds Nelson open on an option route and the pack lead 14-0.
The Pack's firm defence holds again and the Pack pull off a couple of big plays to get into wind assisted field goal range and punch a 50 uarder as time expires in the first half.
17-0 at HT to the Packers

The Hawks evidently had some choice words for each other at half time as their offense and defense went off on the Packers.
Rodgers throws an INT in the red zone and the Seahawks drive down the field until the Packers defence mans up and the Hawks settle for a field goal.
No big deal the Packers say. We'll just chew clock and chew up yards while we are at it......
That works for a couple of minutes until they get to midfield Rodgers throws another pick on an ill advised deep throw.
Wilson promptly drives the Hawks down the field and on a carbon copy of Rodgers earlier TD finds himself in acres on a bootleg and strolls in.
    17-10.

The Packers are in full clock burn mode and miss on a game sealing pass as Boykin catches it out of bounds and they are forced to punt.
Hawks with the bit drive hard but Lady Luck has other ideas. Lynch gets hit hard and the Packers emerge from the pile with the ball and just inside the two minute warning.

Packers just need a first down but the Hawks use their timeouts and despite getting a first down the packers still manage to give the Hawks the ball back with time as lacy goes down on 3rd down and an injury timeout is called.

Hawks create pandemonium and get some big plays to get in scoring distance with less than 30 seconds left.
On a hurry up they attempt to catch the Packers D off guard but Wilson misses Clinton Dix in a deep zone and he picks it off and gets taken down with Rodgers coming out to kneel and finish the game.

Great game and both teams had their purple patch. Hawks just couldn't get enough points on the board during theirs.

Congrats again on the win Nelbert. It was close but I think on balance your team was better. I look forward to the Season 2 rematch
