How long are products fit for use?

    I mean moisturisers, sunblock, shower gel, make up, tooth paste, mouth wash? How long are they generally 'good' for?

    There should be a number in the symbol on the packaging that looks like an open jar, that is the equivalent of use by.


    If it says 24, the product should be fine for 24 months after opening.

    What Speedsie said, but go with your nose too - if you're not sure how long it's been open, give it a sniff and check it hasn't separated.
    Sunblock loses it's magical powers pretty quickly, probably best to chuck it out if it's been hanging around since last summer, otherwise you're playing SPF bingo...
