PCB Board

    Hi

So the plumber came at the weekend to drain the boiler and fix an issue with boiler itself. When he completed the job he turned the power switch back on for the pump but hey presto the pump wouldn't run - dead as a door nail. He had no idea why. Any ideas why it might be dead?

So I opened the pump up and checked the motor by bridging the N&M slots - the motor worked when i switched the power on. I then checked the sensors but nothing (i assume when bridging you leave the wires in which are already in place) - i assume it is safe to say that the pcb board is gone (it was only replaced a few months ago!)

So i need a board - does anyone know where i can get a PCB board for a Stuart Turner Monsoon Universal N1.5 bar Twin pump. Showerdocter only sells it as part of installation and modern plant dont have any - any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

would you be able to let me know where?

also a last question what size fuse amp should be put in the switched fuse spur? I am trying to find out if the plumber made a mistake.

    Thanks

Check if all the wiring is correct.
One of the flow switches goes to the two most central terminal connections.
The next flow switch cable splits and goes to the connections on each side of the middle ones.
And the pressure switch cable splits and goes to the connections each side again.
If you have this correct, then swap around the cables from the flow switches and see does the problem swap over as well.
If it does, then its a problem with the sensor or the float, but if it doesn't change anything, then it may be the pcb or a water valve is closed somewhere.
See how you get on with that.

Yes, you are quite correct, I, an RGI myself, should never give advise on how to carry out repairs on any Gas Appliances.

    However.....

In this case we are talking about the repairs to a Stuart Turner water pressure boosting pump that increases the pressure in your taps and showers.

In future read through the thread before jumping in with inaccurate assumptions. :p

    Fair enough, my mistake.

    Apologies.
