Hi all... I have a 05 Passat. (00-05) type. Iv got front fog lights and one of the bulbs has blown.
Iv been looking online at ebay/amazon and notice led bulbs can be got.
Can anyone tell me...before I purchase any bulb/led, would led work by just swapping bulbs and without hassle.
Thanks in advance for any info...

    Don't.

Light from them will give no pattern (as proper bulbs would), so would dazzle other road users and give you no benefits in foggy weather.

Would you recommend any brand or type to use. The one I took out that's blown is Philips 55w. H3

Stay with philips or buy osram. Similar quality. :)

If you prefer to spend a bit more and have more light, consider osram night breakers.

I'd replace both when your at it, the other will likely go soon, saves you the hassle of doing the job again on the other one.

Stay with same bulbs for the fog lights. Change both.
