high milage car

So I was thinking about buying a seat ibzia only thing is it has 132000 km on it. It's a 2008 would the engine have much life left in it or should I walk away?

if it's a 1.2 petrol i'd say its getting close to throwing in the towel.

That's 82k miles, it's just over 10k miles a year, pretty average. I would look for a service history, if it's had an average of around 1 a year and the price is good I wouldn't be afraid to buy it. It should be well capable of 150k miles if it had regular oil changes in the past.

so it's good for another 70k miles tops if the previous owner looked after it? i could think of better ways to spend 6k on a hatchback.

we had a polo with the 1.2 3cyl engine for just shy of 5 years. took it from 30k km's to just shy of 100k km's and we'd be very good at maintaining our cars, but it was a heap and i believe those 1.2's are well known for being soft as butter. i'd be very surprised/ impressed to see one make it to 240k km's.

Problem is I have to go with a garage have to go down the route or finance
