    Hi,
Thinking of moving to Riverside Estate on the Tuam Road. I'm not from Galway so don't really know what it is like, is it a safe area?
    Thanks

It's safe alright. It's on a city bus route and only about 3km from city centre. The entrance is on Tuam Road (N17) which is a very busy road, particularly at peak times. If you are working on the east side of the city, then it's ideal. It's pretty much surrounded by factories and offices etc.

    Beside the Terryland River.

I have a feeling that the river is downhill from the houses, making this one of the few "Riverside" anything in the world were flooding isn't that likely.

The houses are way above the water, flooding would be impossible.

They recently re-did that whole walkway along the river that stretches from Mullan Mor to the Liosbaun Industrial, lovely brief walk now, often see dogs down there. Was in a bit of a state prior to that with run down/unsafe access from Riverside.
