Asking for a friend, they are currently on JSA the €144 rate and looking for work for the last year to no avail. A job has come up in the area for the CE scheme and he is wondering what the rate of pay will he receive for 19.5 hours?
will he get the 144 + 20 bonus total of 164? or will he receive 208 as I see minimum rate thing popping up but not too sure?

It will be a minimum payment of €208

    Community Employment programme

The Community Employment (CE) programme is designed to help people who
are long-term unemployed and other disadvantaged people to get back to work
by offering part-time and temporary placements in jobs based within local
communities. DSP gives financial support in the form of allowances and funding
to assist with the Community Employment schemes. The rate of payment for
new applicants based on 19.5 hours worked will be the equivalent to your
existing DSP payment plus a €20 participation bonus with a minimum payment
    of €208.

Perfect thank you! And sorry for the annoyance but for eligibility he is only 24 but has been on JSA for nearly 2 years, done 2 fas courses before that, does this mean he is not eligible?

Would need to be 25 and over but there are a number of other scenarios that would make him eligible. Check here http://www.welfare.ie/en/Pages/Part-time-Integration-Option.aspx
