Boiler problem

    Hi all

I have a Baxi Megaflo gas boiler.

I think it was installed in about 2008 (we bought the house with it there, 2012).

I've had a few issues with it in since taking ownership.

Recently had it serviced (via my energy provider) and I was not impressed with the fella who did it and I want no more dealings with them.

At the moment there seems to be a problem with the return thermistor (or PCB) reading erroneously high which is leading to the pump running continuously.

The boiler is also leaking when it is operating.

Is this not early in it's life to have these problems?

How much (ballpark) am I looking at to get this repaired?

Would I be better off getting a new boiler installed?

Can anyone recommend a decent RGI repair man who could help me out and not fleece me?

I'm in the southside of Dublin.

    Cheers boardsies!

It would be highly unlikely that you would need to replace the gas boiler.
Both problems should be reasonably straightforward to repair.

My Gas Boiler is making a clicking noise and then the heating noise comes on, And then what happens sometimes clicks away and the heating does not start. Anybody any ideas thanks.

    Boiler make, model?

Sounds like an older boiler, and pilot is failing to ignite..blocked etc, you will need to get an RGI out
