I just wanted to ask if anyone had any advice or is in a similar situation. I had an interview yesterday and I feel it went very well, it's a reception/admin/sales position. I have experience in all three and the interviewer seemed happy with everything I said, then she asked me for the next stage to have thought about my salary expectations, I'm unsure as to what to ask for, the hours are mostly 8.30-5.30 Tuesday to Friday and 9-4 Saturday, otherwise it would be 8.30-5.30 Monday to Friday, as I have been working in a completely different area I have no idea how much I could ask for without being greedy!! any idea what the going is or what to ask for?

That sounds like three jobs to me ! I know in my company the receptionists can be on 23000 approx. But for you with other roles I reckon they might be looking at somewhere around 25000 to 28000 maybe ? Are you getting extra for sat or is that your working week? Tues to sat ? Do you get commission on sales ? Is there other perks??

I suppose it does cover three roles, it's not technically either of them but it does involve duties of all 3 roles. The saturday would be part of my regular working week however it could some weeks be a Monday to Friday week. The Saturday will cost more for childcare so that needs to be taken in to consideration. No other perks mentioned and no commission on sales.

Is it through an agency? If so they will have a salary range and you can ask them.

In my experience a multi-role position where the candidate ticks lots of the boxes and have experience of all of them then that should command a premium salary. In theory if you demonstrate you can hit the ground running and can make sales from the get go why not ask for the top end?

Ask for what you fell worth but add that you are open to negotiate.

Thank you, your probably right! I think it's such a varied role I wasn't sure what to compare it to or what to ask for! Thanks for the advice! Also it's not through an agency it's direct with the company.
