    Hi,

Does anyone know how much in total I could expect to pay to have the catalytic converter replaced in a 03 1.6 Golf? (from a normal garage, not from a main dealer).

    Thanks

On an 03 car it could be normal enough that the cat has had it's day.
But always good to check all sensors, error codes and does the car burn gallons of oil.
As above, OP has the option to go to main dealer and get all new, OEM brand new system installed (will be mucho, mucho €€€€€€€€!), or get only a cat on it's own and get that replaced (can be done for under €200)
