I am looking to purchase one of these, my budget is about €1300, it is mainly going to be used for work at home, I will probably not be doing much gaming on it and it will generally be used for web design, audio editing/recording and blogging.

Any other recommendations would be welcome, I already have a Packard Bell EasyNote TS11, but at this stage it would only really be used for messing about with and downloading.

    Thanks.

For what you want to use it for it sounds like the macbook would suit better.

Neither. You should be looking at the new 2015 xps ultrabook.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (or any ThinkPad) might suit you. nvm saw the Euro starting price lol. T-series is good tho.
    Or the Mac.

The new Dell XPS 13 looks like an incredible machine, hard to ignore.

Ridiculous screen, 15 hour battery life, 13" screen in a laptop the same size as the 11" Mac Air. All kinds of cool.

Ended up going with the MacBook Pro, a friend of mine works with Apple and got Logic Pro X and a few other bits thrown in for free for me, had a good look at the XPS Ultrabook, but the add-ons really sweetened the deal for me.
