The public are being asked (Jan 20th-Feb 17th) for their views on the future of BBC3, the launch ofBBC1+1, more money into BBC drama productions and the extension of hours on CBBC

whats the story on the extension of CBBC and killing of BBC three ?

Are they proposing that CBBC in the evening becomes somewhat like BBC 3 is currently, aimed at youth and young adults ?

No, the idea is that there will be a BBC Three-branded website or section of the iPlayer. But anything with any sort of a budget will be moved to BBC One or BBC Two, even if it gets a "first look" airing on the iPlayer.

CBBC will stay more or less the same.

I personally think the BBC are sowing the seeds of their eventual destruction. Already they've abandoned teens to the commercial sector and now it seems the 18-35 group is next. Soon there'll be a whole generation of licence fee payers who haven't seen a service from the BBC since they were 12 and will be wondering why they are paying for it. That's just not sustainable long term.

bbc3 should be axed but bbc+1 should not go ahead also

BBC One +1 really is a pointless exercise especially if they want people using the iPlayer. Extending CBBC is also pointless.
