    Initiative and lateral thinking too.

Most yahoos would hang around the door calling the doormen **** all night. His get up and go attitude should be applauded.

He was angry at being thrown out of the club, so he went off to vent... in fact, he hit the roof!
He clearly has some kind of (air) condition.

    'Remarkably stupid' Irishman
This seems like the wrong choice of words for the newspaper to use. The judge said his actions were stupid while the paper call him a "stupid Irish man". Bit like attack the post not the poster. Is it not technically slanderous?

Cancel his visa. see how funny that is.

only thing is he's doing Ireland a favour by not being in Ireland.

Mountain out of a molehill Joe.

Who amongst us hasn't put our well-being at risk by desperately scrambling through an air vent and essentially breaking and entering all for the sake of the potential shift?

    Fair dues to the chap.

Don't see the problem. The judge said he was "remarkably stupid" and he's an Irishman.

Edit: Sorry, I see what you mean.

    But...
...four charges including ... two counts of being refused entry into a licensed premises.

Is this a thing down there?

To be fair, I'd say a few of us have had mates open the Fire door at the back to get ya in, or jump a wall, but he air-vent, that's a whole new level.

And he did get the shift in the end. Just from the fire crew pulling him out.

Well it is a bit like breaking and entering, he was refused permission so he had no right to be there.

I think it's worth remembering that to be old and wise you first have to be young and foolish.

If I ever owned an irish newspaper it would be full of the antics of our beloved colonialists down under when on tour in Europe ( mostly, thank God not Ireland).

Probably keep an entire section going.

Emergency services were called to the club when a man could be heard screaming for help.

He was'nt that foolish......he had the presence of mind to scream for help.....although the sceawming bit won't do his street-cred much good upon his return to our native shore.....where we like 'em a bit tougher....;)
