Pricing Question... STandard?

I am looking for a repair to an intermittent problem on our gas boiler, so I contacted a company regarding this.

I was quoted €90 for the call out and first hour's work - which I assume is the standard rate.

However, I also suggested that if the fault was repaired in 10 minutes, would they also service the boiler?

I was told that there would normally be a €90 fee for boiler servicing, but as it was at the same time as a repair it could be done for €60.

Am I being naive in thinking that if I've paid for an hour's labour I should be able to use this labour?

(edit: removed this line as it probably doesn't help:
If I go to the doc with 2 complaints he doesn't charge me for 2 visits...)

Usually when I go to the doctor I'm in and out within 10 minutes so not really like for like also I go to the doctor, a plumber will travel to me.

Thanks - but perhaps that feedback wasn't quite as constructive as I was hoping for.

I guess I could remove the 'analogy' from the original comment and leave the question as it was asked.

Personally if I arrived out to a repair and it was something silly , I would service the boiler as a given .

It might not be silly though - but say it's just to replace a pressure switch in the flue (which is what I suspect the problem to be). It may well take more than the hour - but I was surprised at the company's response, and seemed not to be flexible in that regard. Business must be good for them.
