Revenue Job Assist

Didn't want to drag up any old threads so started a new one...

My wife has completed her second year of getting the Revenue Job Assist tax credit.

    Year 1 (2013) we had 1 child so got the €3810 +€1270.
Year 2 (2014) we started with 1 child so got the €2540 +€850.
    Year 3 (2015) we will get €1270 + 2*€425 as we have 2 children.

My question is for year 2 (2014) our second was born on July 4th, therefore do we qualify for half the rate (€850/2) for the year?

I rang revenue and the lady I was talking to didn't know and her supervisor also didn't know so asked me to submit it in writing (I am also requesting a P21 in writing too)

    Thanks.

Do you mind me asking where you submit the invite to?

I assume you mean the request for a P21? You send it to your local tax office, to get the address you go to the local tax office locator on revenue site and input your PPS number. I think you can also request this on the revenue on line system once your P60 details have been added to the system.

For anyone interested in the outcome, I got a refund from revenue for the year and a P21 balancing statement showing that I got the full years allocation for my second child so for year 2 we got €4240 tax credit.
