Advice needed - illness benefit to finish

Advice needed please- I received a letter today telling me that my illness benefit will cease tomorrow 20 January. It was dated from last Thursday.
I am suffering with post natal depression at the moment and attending my doctor and a counsellor and also taking anti depressants. I haven't been myself for a long time but am working hard to get myself right.
I was called for a medical assessment in October, and it was after this that I was told I was ok to return to work. However my own doctor did not agree with this and wrote a letter detailing my personal situation which I forwarded on with my appeal form. I heard no more until this letter I got this morning, and in this it says my benefit will stop as of tomorrow's date and that I am seen to be fit for work. It stares that I can appeal this to the social welfare.
Can anyone give me advice of what I should do now, I am terribly upset over this and not sure what to Di next. I'm still not quite ready for work I don't feel and I don't know when I will be ready. I didn't get in to my own doctor today to discuss this .
    Much appreciated.

While you are waiting on a decision from the appeal's office you are entitled to go onto jobseekers allowance. Go in fill in the forms and when you get called hand them the letter you got from the illness benefit & tell them you are awaiting an appeal.

Make sure you send as much information regarding you condition to the appeal's office.
