Tesco 2nd Interview?

    Hey, I had an interview with Tesco last week and it went well. They rang back today and told me to call in Thursday. She said she wants to have a quick talk to the candidates that were short listed.

    So is this a second interview then? what do I prepare for? If anyone has worked in Tesco before help would be appreciated.

    I was under the impression that tesco were actually letting people go. I hope I am wrong, and there is a position there for you.

    No they are definetly hiring in this store becuase in the first interview she told me what i'd be doing in the job and the pay. I just don't know what this is on Thursday is it another interview or what? ha. And if so what questions would be asked?

    I asked is this a second interview and she said 'Yeah well it is kind of a meet and greet for the people that were short listed from the the first interview' so to me that could be anything!? haha

    They might be going to get you to do team work. They might give a problem and then you have to work out as a group what you would do.
    They'd be looking at general social skills -be friendly etc, confidence to give your opinion and back it up, and also can you listen to other people and take on board their point of view.Theyd be looking at how you resolve the conflict of ideas- can you discuss all of the ideas and if necessary can you compromise or take the other person's point if it turns out they were right....etc
    Just a possibility

    Thanks for the response. Yeah that sounds possible just hope there isint any awkward questions. They change their interview question every year so don't know what to expect really.

    Thought I'd metion that I got a call on Wednesday and was told they are not allowed to hire anyone for 5 weeks because of the finacial accounts not completed or something along those lines, but told me that they would still like to see me in 5 weeks if I was still available because my interview was strong.

    Strange one.
