Overall mark for year

Hi, I just did my semester 1 exams and I'm pretty sure I failed one even though I did well in the others, I'm doing INTRA next year and was hoping to get a good overall grade for job hunting and whatnot. Will my overall grade be capped at a pass now? I've heard this from a lot of different people and it seems pretty crazy to me that having an off day on one exam means your mark for the whole year suffers...

    So is this true?

To the best of my knowledge, the grade for that module is capped at 40% assuming that you pass the repeat or compensate with the others.

The overall grade for the year is dependent on all of your modules, the way Intra is taken into account for this is suspect as you get that result whilst in the following year so I'm unsure how that affects everything regarding marks for compensation etc.

If you get 26% or over, you can compensate 2 5credit modules. If this is your 2nd year and you are applying for intra jobs, INTRA claim you have to pass all semester 1 exams to start applying. However, they normally let those who are within compensation range start applying afew weeks after the initial job offers come through.

Its usually 35% at least to compensate and an overall good grade in the rest! just calculate your overall grade as you would normally but cap that module only at 40%
