Facial mask for combo-sensitive skin

    Hi all,

I have combination skin, that's dry on my cheeks and an oily t-zone. Around my jaw line is oily too. In the last 6-8 weeks I've noticed that my skin has become a lot more sensitive, and I'm not sure why.

I have a few face masks, but anytime I use them now, my skin is red, sore and irritated and I always break out in those big, red, angry spots, that takes ages to heal up.

I am looking for a facial mask that can be used weekly, maybe once or twice or something to help my skin, and that's why I am looking for some recommendations.

I've been looking around for the past few weeks and there is so much choice out there that I really don't know what I need to be honest.

These are the masks I currently have

I also have a resurfacing mask or something similar from Champneys that I can't find or remember the name of.

My skin care routine is as follows:

Cleanse with cotton wool pad and micellar water.
Rub concentrated facial gel all over face and rinse off
Cleanse with the Garnier soothing cleanser and tone with the Garnier soothing toner
Moisturise the eye area with the Boots Vitamin E Gentle Eye Cream and moisturise my face with the Vichy Idealia Smoothing and Illuminating Cream For Dry Skin .

Somtimes if my skin is very irritated I will only use silcocks base and no cleansers/toners/other moisturisers as I find it helps a little bit. I've also started mixing some of the La Roche-Posay Toleriane Soothing Protective Skincare .

I also sometimes spritz some of the Avene thermal water on my face. I do this if I use the silcocks base as a moisturiser.

I don't use any scrubs and haven't used a mask in about two weeks because of how my skin reacts, its too sensitive for any masks or scrubs at the moment.

Three different cleansers (micellar water, gel and cleanser/ toner) seems a bit excessive to me. How come you need three?

Usually I use the micellar water to remove make up and then I wash my face with the facial wash and then when that's done I use the Garnier cleanser and toner before moisturising my face.

A few days in a row where I wasn't wearing make up I skipped the micellar water and just used the facial wash/gel and the Garnier cleanser/toner and it made no difference.

Would you consider ditching the cleanser/ toner and just using the micellar water and gel? I think it's excessive using a cleanser and toner after using a rinse off gel. Could be overloading your skin and making it more sensitive

I have tried that, and it has made no difference.

I've had this routine for a while now, but only in the last 6-8 weeks has my skin become more sensitive.
