Getting an Audi serviced in a VW main dealer

I bought a new Audi A3 Saloon in 2014. I bought it from a VW Main dealer.

It's due it's first service in a week and I asked the VW dealer about servicing and they told me they're approved by Audi to do the service.

Does anyone know if there's any danger of warranty voiding though?

I've dealt with this VW dealer for many years and this is my first Audi so hoping the service will have 'main dealer' value down the road.

If they're an approved service centre there won't be an issue.

So long as you have deep pockets you'll be fine.

Not so long ago there was €99 and €129 service deals, which on a year old warrantied car should cover it without extra expense and keep dealer history and original parts and oils. Sure they won't cover anything under the warranty and goodwill the robbing bastards.

He is better off bringing it to the fella down the street, sure he only charges €50 for the exact same thing.

3 year warranty on Audi these days. Audi Cork took 70% of the part and all the labour on an EGR valve without being asked, outside warranty a couple of years ago. Did similar for me recently on something else, I can't remember which part it was. Not bad considering the car is 6 years old now.

Should be ok.My local vw dealer is servicing partner for Audi and Skoda. All invoices are headed with the 3 logos. My octavia was stamped with a seperate Skoda stamp and They have same with Audi.Garage said all warranty issues ,recalls etc for audi and skoda are dealt with by them in identical way as VW.

    Presuming a full history?

I had something similar with a Skoda, VAG seem to be pretty good with good will if it's got a dealer history. And with some of the deals that can be had it makes sense to get it done by them. In some instances an indy that I used to use all the time was more expensive that getting it done by them.

OP, Joe Duffy are Audi dealers in Limerick now where Singland Motors used to be, so it might be worth getting a price from them too just to compare.
