Heifer eating mats

    In the last 4 or 5 days a few of my incalf heifers have started rolling up the mats on their cubicles and are licking and knawing at them. Anyone got a cure? They've been bolused, are getting some bag minerals as a top up, and have access to rock salt.

    Have they enough silage?:D Seriously, I have cows that do that every year, I put it down to boredom.

    Have they enough roughage/fibre .You could offer them straw.

    Have 2 at it here,fair annoying ,like u getting minerals and rock salt.just pure boredom I'd say
