    It's 1930s technology.
    first Q is: what fuel?
    Proper paraffin is very expensive, maybe 2 euro per litre.

    They work on kero or you can buy low sulphur kero in a few places. A friend of mine has one and uses it on his boat, he loves it although he had one big issue when he left it turned up to high and once hot and while he had left the boat the heater started to soot up leaving the whole cabin needing to be repainted. Soot means carbon dioxide in large amounts, so I would advise anyone using these heaters to have a CO alarm near by.
