    Hi all,

my neighbour said I could borrow his livestock trailer if I was stuck shifting cattle sometime...

Just wondering, from those on here that might borrow such trailers, should I ask him anything in particular insurance-wise about his policy on the trailer before borrowing...?

Haven't borrowed it before so bit wet behind the ears about this sort of thing:rolleyes:

    Cheers!

The way I'd look at it is You'd be driving it on your car insurance.
The only reason I can see that his insurance would come into it is if it falls apart causing a crash or similar

As far as I am aware the trailer is linked to a vehicle and not covered on someone else's vehicle but I could be wrong. The worst with borrowing a trailer is; that you'll be sure to forget to tighten the jockey wheel and it will be well worn by the time you realise, it could be the plug you leave in the socket and forget to remove leaving him with a right short lead needing rewire. You'll be near guaranteed to back into something and break a tail light. The breaks may be left on for a while and be nice and warm when you get it back and your nearly guaranteed the half perished tyres will blow and need replacing. After all that is look at buying one. Your gyrated something will go when you have it.
