Lack of P.E

    Hoping to get some opinions....

My little boy is in junior infants. Twice a week he wears his track suit to school as they are supposed to do P.E on those days.

At the beginning of December he seemed to do it on both days for a few weeks. Then it seemed to go down to 1 day and some weeks not at all.

As far as I can recall, he hasn't done PE at all now since the beginning of December. I put it down to practicing for the Christmas play back in December but since returning to school after Christmas there has been no PE.

I have his parent teacher meeting later this week. Is this something I should query with his teacher or am I fussing over nothing?

    Thanks

Is there a school hall? Before Christmas, time may have gone on "the play," but if there is a hall and it hasn't been annexed by ,say the school nurse, for vaccinations or the senior students preparing for Slógadh or your child hasn't been swimming or getting coaching from external coaches coming in for football or whatever or the infants haven't been doing the dance part of the PE curriculum (you'd be amazed at the number of children who don't consider this PE ) I'd mention it. No need to be confrontational or apologetic (not saying you would) as it is part of the school curriculum.
