Laptop wont open Medion hard drive

    Bought A Medion 500gb harddrive in lidl a year ago or so but I cant get it to open on my toshiba laptop. When i plug the harddrive into the laptop the connection noise comes on and the blue light shows on the harddrive yet its no where to be found on the laptop! Any ideas?

    I'm pretty sure you bought it in Aldi. They sell Medion stuff. Does the hdd appear when you open device manager?
