I need help..........Anyone been to chateau des ormes, Dol ðe Bretange and also to Yelloh Cote de Nacre, Saint aubin sur Mer ? Can't decide between the 2 ?

We are is Disneyland Paris for a week before we head towards Cherbourg for our ferry home. We are travelling 15 - 28 June 2015.

Husband interested in d day beaches and also want to visit Mont St Michel. The kids are 4 & 2.5 so need to keep them entertained too. Hoping the weather stays dry & some bit warm.

Saint Aubin is on the beach but afraid there might not be enough to do in the area besides D day beaches ?

Chateau des ormes is nearer mont St Michel but further from beaches but is also a very large site..... Any advice from someone who has been to both areas would be appreciated.

We stayed in Bella Italia in lake garda before and would love to find that kind of parc in France.

    Hi.
I have been to the Yelloh Cote de Nacre campsite but not the other one you mention.

Its a great campsite - Good pool and facilities. Its not on the beach, I think its a 10 minute walk from the beach, maybe more with young kids.
The beach is lovely and the town is good. Lots of restaurants and shops and markets. The whole area is worth a visit. There is a good WW2 museum in the local town

The only disappointment is that The weather in this part of Normandy is wetter and cooler than most other places in France.

Driving is easy, its not far to the D-Day beaches. We visited Mont St Michel on the way back to Cherbourg. You need at least a few hours to visit, as you have to park a fair distance away and get a bus to the Mount.

Same here - have been to Cote de nacre which is small and has nice playground stuff for young kids. Its perfectly located for the D-day stuff. Quite a drive to Mont st Michel though - our experience in early June as that you need to be there first thing in the morning as it gets very crowded.

Thanks for that. I know it's a drive to Mont St. Michel but don't mind driving, kids are always up at crack of dawn anyway. We might do St. Malo same day while in the area.

Was there enough to do around Saint Aubin if the weather was bad ? I know it's not going to be roasting but was hoping it would be warm with some sunny days ?

We are there for 7 full days before we leave so if the weather is rainy & poor we are worried that we might not keep kids entertained.

Chateau des Ormes is slightly more inland and weather might be a little bit more settled there but i still cant decide.

Is there aquariums or indoor play areas or anything like nearby for young kids ?
