Assume budget is €7500 and not €750?

Something dodge about a white base model avensis with all its rear badges missing.

Hold out for what you want. We have the 116bhp 1.6 in an i30 and its a grand engine, noticeably better than the 88bhp version.

    Yeah, €7500. Fixed.

I was thinking it looked dodgy. The mileage is very low and so is the price.

The 08 tax has created a bubble for these cars, you will struggle to get a desirable 08 within budget.

If I could find a good value 07 I wouldn't mind paying the extra tax but not sure what I'm looking for tbh. There's a lot out there and probably a lot that aren't great.

    I would take this approach:

Make a list of cars you like the look of
Make a list of essential items, aircon, alloys, cruise control, whatever.
    Familiarise yourself with spec levels.
Do your homework on different models.

Is this too good to be true? Anyone familiar with the seller?

If you are willing to consider a Fiat then you should also take a look at Renault Meganes. The Megane III is actually a very reliable car and they are great value as well, you'd get a 2010 example within budget:

The Megane III is a much nicer car than the Bravo too.

An added bonus! They are also nicer than a Ceed or I30 in my opinion.

    They've certainly got more personality

Great, I'll have a a look at those. It was just the price of the Bravo that caught my attention.

I'm going to look at a car tomorrow. I was just wondering from people's experiences, which history check site is the best to use? motorcheck.ie or cartell.ie?

    Thanks
