DIY Steel Creep Feeder For Calves

Its generally considered that creep feeders made by O Donnells, Condons and O Donovan's are the best on the Irish market.
    A) Deep enough that jealous cows can't reach in and continuously puck the calves while eating.
    B) Troughs themselves have enough depth that the calves don't dribble and drop nuts all over the ground
    C) Standing area is not covered with a roof.... Avoiding situation where calves go in for a lie down and block up the feeder for the day

Thing is..... At 1500 for the Donovan unit, despite its quality etc... It's very difficult to ignore the possibility of making something similar ourselves....,

So, has anybody had a go at making respectable looking, safe and effective creep feeder ? And if so.... Photos ? Dimensions ? Etc Etc
