    In your opinion which is better Scenes from a Marriage (1973) or Fanny and Alexander (1982)


    I haven't seen either and wanted to know which you thought was better.

    They're both very, very different films (/TV shows, if we're being pedantic). I wouldn't necessarily count either among my favourite Bergman works, but they're both well worth watching. Fanny and Alexander is probably the more aesthetically interesting and 'grander' work. Scenes from a Marriage is more intimate, and is primarily worth watching because the follow-up Saraband is truly extraordinary.
