Strange HDMI problem

    The HDMI input on my Lg32lc3r-zj has stopped working, sort of. Here's what I see:

    With the sky box: image but no sound
    UPC box: no image or sound
    Laptop: image but no sound
    Apple TV: full image AND sound!

    So I have every combination of symptoms.

    The TV only has one HDMI port so for the last couple of years I've used a hdmi switch to control the source between the sky box and the apple TV. I'd noticed that the image and sound on the TV would crackle every so often (once a week or so) but would return.

    So I'm thinking the hdmi port might be damaged but it's really strange that it works differently for different sources and seems to work perfectly with the apple tv.

    I've tried different cables to rule that out.

    Finally to confirm there is no problem with the sky box I am using a scart cable that works perfectly for image and audio.

    Anyone seen similar?
