Can anyone recommend a good primary school in North Dublin for a 9yo foreign boy? Ideally not far from the airport area and a school with smaller classes... I don't mind paying a fee but don't seem to be able to find many private schools in the required area.

Swords is quite near the airport but you won't find a school with small class sizes. Swords is still a growing area and average class sizes would be near 30. My kids all went to Holy Family in Rivervalley.... Great school. But you have to be living in the catchment area to get a place.
