    Hi Folks.
Has anyone done this or know anything about this place? Looking at it as an option. Found it on Henpartyideas.ie and the only travel reviews for the place are from 2011 on trip advisor which are mixed.
With 20 odd hens and bridezilla in tow I can't mess this up...

What time of the year will the hen party be? I see from the site that the huts/pods are heated, but you wouldn't want to be traipsing out to the loo in the freezing cold in the middle of the night!

You have to know your audience! I know lots of girls who think this would be great craic and lots who would hate it. I'd decline if I was invited to a glamping hen, to be honest.

It was actually the other girls suggested it... I go camping all the time with my OH and Kids so I'd be more for the 4 star hotel with pool and spa when I have the opportunity to get it.
The Hen herself is a festival lover and so are most of her friends. I'm the maid of honor and hen organizer. A weekend in a posh tent is not that hard if its what they want!

The OH went there for her hen and liked it. I think one group had an issue with their hut being damp but they were moved into a proper building on site so were happy enough with that.

I'd say its Beirnes of Battlebridge which is not too far from Carrick on Shannon. You could check out their website to see more photos and see what you think. Lough Key Forest Park is not too far away and there are loads of activities to do there (crystal maze, zip lines and segways). Or there's also loads to do in Carrick itself.

Its one option but if you put in glamping into one fab day theres a list of 12 I think around the country. I found leitrim quite pricey. It looks like great fun

Id love to do it myself, but there are always going to be some moaners..Does the bride to be like camping and outdoors. I would think if she didn't don't do it and if she does go for it.

Thanks for your help folks. It's booked now so no going back. The Hen (my baby sister) will love it so not too worried. More worried about damp huts but there is enough of us to make a racket if it's not up to standard. Delighted to see there are proper beds in the Eco pods so hoping I get one of them!!!!
    Thanks again x

I didn't go to that place in particular but have been Glamping in Ireland. I'm not really a camping type of girl but really enjoyed it! The proper bed, and the nice stove in the room helped. And I'd say it's be great for a girls night, esp if they've nice common areas. We stayed onsite the evening we were there , had a takeaway delivered and chatted over drinks all evening. Was lovely, and nice not to have to be out in a pub/club like a 'normal' night out.

Sounds fun, but couldn't you do all that in more regular accommodation? If it's practically like a hotel room or apartment, what sets it apart?

Well it was just something a bit different and more memorable. I didn't do it for a hen, just a weekend away with friends (male and female). Yotd probably lt have similar common areas with an apartment but with a hotel you'd always have to be in a bar or restaurant rather than just being able to sit around, eat and chat in a sitting area like with where I went Glamping. We also had a bit of craic cooking breakfast the next morning. It's what you make of it really!
