Steam Linux bug can wipe your drive

    Just came across this article about a bug in Steam on Linux that can potentially wipe your drive if you've moved the Steam install folder.

    One of the comments on the github post linked to in the article also notes that the Windows Steam uninstaller can potentially delete data, if Steam wasn't installed to its own subfolder. There is a warning on the relevant page, but it could be missed.

    Just something to watch out for.

    wow! that is scarily simple. Made me do a mental check to see if I ever used rm -rf in any of my bodge-job scripts :)
