Getting Feedback From Agencies

Guys just looking for feedback on what peoples experiences are in dealing with agencies. I have been applying recently for jobs I should be suitable for. Have the experience and the qualifications etc but am having no look hearing back from the agencies.

Should I follow up the application with a phone call. Have other had any look getting feedback from agency with out getting called for interview. Say if there are thing that one could do to be considered for similar roles. To give an example I have several year working in a particular area asking for a minimum of 1 years experience. It is 3 years or so since I worked in the area. Do you think this would be seen as a disqualifier with agency.
Am I real looking at doing jobbridge in an area I am already experienced to get a job there again.

I would consider it if I had to, only I have seen no job bridge position in any of the areas where I am experienced.

Agencies ime only contact you if they think you are a very close fit for a role

Otherwise it's like a black hole

This is what I have found. When they have contacted me, they have been all over me. When I don't hear anything, I have had no luck getting anything from them. I just wasn't sure if my approach might have been wrong.
There are some training course available in the same area, but why do them, if they still won't offer any improvement in my chance, in an area I am already experienced in.

Have you relevant qualifications? If not and they are specified as part of the spec, that will hamper you

E.g. if someone advertised a role with three years Vmware experience and a VCP qualification, not having the VCP could be a showstopper

Agencies are useless parasites in my opinion.

Mine cvs, and do the work for the hr morons that are too stupid to do the basic function they were hired to do.

If they have to offer services like re doing your cv etc you are not suitable for the role in the first place.

Thats just my experience of them. From both sides, hiring and hiree.

Role require previous experience in the same capacity. Which as I said I have. There is no educational requirement beyond having the leaving certificate. I would have standalone certificate in similar areas. These would be above the minimum requirement, but certainly relevant to the role.
