Built in single oven to double oven freestand?

    I hope this hasn't been done to death but... Being Irish, I have a preference for an oven and separate grill. The common 60x60x60cm built in ovens are single cavity. My oven is that too. But the total height of the cabinet is 925mm from floor to top of countertop. That's a lot of space wasted (I have a itsy bitsy kitchen).

    One option is to remove the oven and hob top and replace with a standalone oven. If I look at powercity.ie I see that 50cm models are way cheaper than 60cm for some reason. Either way it means removing the existing cabinet floor (not that big a deal) and cutting the countertop back to the tiles (rather a pain). Then you have gaps between the countertop and the cooker and have to figure out the splashback in some way. I suppose I could close that gap somehow... Plus in most cases I need to raise the floor a little to make the hob flush(ish) with the countertop.

    I'm not sure all this is worth it :P But I'd love to hear if anyone else has gone to this bother.

    I see "build under" double ovens like this Beko from Powercity. But I don't quite know what that means. It's 715mm high so maybe it's stands on the floor on its own feet but still fits within a cabinet? That would be nice (it's also 500 quid though!).
