Some interesting figures, who ordered the A380 in 2014?

I'm more interested to who cancelled their order for the A350?

Seems that Airbus is dominating the short-haul and jumbo markets but losing out massively in the long-range/mid-range market.

Emirates, to order 777X. Think Hawaiian changed to A330neo also, which would show as a 350 cancellation but a 330neo order for zero net change.

That chart is from Boeing's PR flack Randy, hence the avoidance of the real number at the top - Airbus sold more planes. Building more just means you're clearing your backlog more and book/"estimated" value is also pretty irrelevant too; when you have access to one set of real sales figures and sheer guesswork on the other.

Airbus also own half of the dominant prop provider whereas Boeing has nothing on offer smaller than the 737-700 anymore.

if 737 covers everything from 7 series to 9 series, it would only be fair to place A319 and A321 under A320... or is it done already?

I believe A320 covers the 'family' of them

I didn't know Boeing still made the 767. Over 30 years since it was first built.

"Won" the tender (after conniving to have the tender re-issued due to the A330MRTT winning the first time) to replace the DC10 based tankers for the USAF so they still offer it for anyone who wants it as the line will be building the KC767 for years. Fedex are buying freighters still and a few airlines stuck waiting for 787s ordered passenger versions too.

There isn't a single order for a passenger version to be built/delivered currently though.

I can't argue with the stats... most know that they are pretty much equal in production/sales. Big orders even out over time.

The timing of this chart is illustrative of the impact of the B787 ramped up production...by necessity Airbus are approx 12 month behind as the A350 has only entered service. (May not be in full production till early 2016?)
Airbus are pumping out the A330's but they do not have the value to balance the B773's and B787's of Boeing in 2014.
