Looking to build a pc in the next few months, i used pcpartpicker to pick parts. I want to build an entry level gaming pc that will be able to handle games like DayZ and minecraft. If possible Far Cry 3 on medium settings?
The parts I picked are here: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/x8LF3C
Its costing about €550, Im about €150-€200 over budget is there any way i can save money? Also what are my specs like? Thanks

Just an FYI, you can change the currency on PCpartpicker.com if you prefer - just select a different country in the drop down box in the top-right.

As for the build, you could get a lower specced processor. I'm not overly ffamiliar with it, but look into the anniversary edition Pentium (G3258). It overclocks really well, so might deliver enough grunt for your needs. And 8GB of RAM would be fine - no need for 12GB.

Unfortunately, the PSU that comes with that case will be junk. Please don't skimp on the PSU!

Was having a look at that processor and its only dual core, would i be better off with a quad core processor or just uprgrading it as the need arises?

Why is the PSU so important? Is there any particuar brand PSU i should get or stay away from?

It's not possible to build an i5 Gaming PC on a budget of 350-400.

G3258, 8Gb of Ram, H81 board, Zalman T-Series case, VS450 or VS350 PSU, and a GTX750Ti is just about doable.

If you don't want to overclock stretch the budget a bit further for an i3.

Do you really need a DVD drive? Can't remember the last time I used one

Yeah you need a better PSU, 8gb of ram loads. Also change processor, the Intel pentium anniversary would be great.
