What to do with nineteen acres of land

    Hi Lads,

I am wondering what to do with 19 acres of land, I am working so it would be only part time. Any ideas welcome on what would be the best way of making any sort of profit, I want to keep stock. I was thinking of rearing calves off cows maybe 4/5 calves per cow. Or maybe buying stock in the spring and then selling in oct/nov.

    Thanks

Have a flick back through the pages theres a heap of threads with what to do with small acreage, otherwise we will be back to plant it, get sheep, buy weanlings rather than calves, summer graze it or rent it to your nearest dairy man.

are you looking to make cash instantly? i think the government gives grants or money if you sowed those christmas trees on it? though dunno if you'd get paid immediately or after 4 or 5 years
