    If I already had a PGDE in, let's say history and religion, and wanted to go back to college to do English and civics/politics, would I still need to go on and do the PGDE in those subjects??

    If you had sufficient credits in English & Civics/Politics I think you could teach them now but there are changes coming in from January 2017 for some subjects requiring that you must have studied the methodologies of the particular subjects.
