abs/ebc fault mitsubishi colt '05

    Hi,

I have a recurring fault with my 2005 Mitsubishi colt 1.3, there is an intermittent fault light appearing both the abs and handbrake indicator come on together (which indicates EBC failure); before this happens while driving I can hear a solenoid activating and at times the abs activates at low speed under braking when it would not be needed.

the fault codes pulled from ECU are : C1225 deviation between wheel speed
    C1231 FR outlet valve

I have had it in a local garage and they are unsure on how to proceed, they cleaned the wheel sensor but the fault reappeared on a further test drive before I got the car back.

Obviously I don't want to go go down the route of randomly swapping out parts to see if it fixes it but sometimes that is what is required.

I am thinking things that it could be 1) wheel speed sensor 2) abs control unit 3) wheel hub?

As full disclosure I also have the left front tyre slowly loosing pressure but with no sign of a puncture - valve was replaced So I think it might be a damaged alloy but the abs/ecb fault was evident prior to this.

Any advice on how to proceed in a cost effective manner would be appreciated.
