I got some points about 2-3 years ago. Can't remember when exactly. Is there a way to find out when they are due to expire from my licence?
    Thanks

Call the RSA on 1890 416141.

You need to quote your licence number.

You might already know this but I discovered to my cost when I rang that the 3 years is from when the offence is processed (after you pay) so can be up to 2 months after the offence. Something to do with the appeal process I think.

You ring the road safety authority.

You then find out the date the points expire, which is 3 years from when they finally get around to applying them (not 3 years from when you broke the speed limit etc.).

    Rob,

I was told it was partially due to giving people that have reached the maximum points time to arrange alternative means of transport. But I think it's more to do with administration processing times.

I've 4 points both expiring on the exact same date although the two speeding offences were 2 months apart.
