Team Pursuit qualification was last night - report here

The women's team did particularly well to finish 11th, and that performance should move them a place or two up the qualification rankings for Rio. They were 14th in the rankings before yesterday, and were the 8th European team with only 9 teams to qualify in total and a maximum of 6 European teams qualifying. Similarly the men should be moving up the rankings, although the crash they suffered last year and the absence of Irvine and Ryan Mullen from London means they still have a bit of catching up to do

Martyn Irvine and Caroline Ryan will be competing in their respective omniums later on with Eoin Mullen taking part in the Keirin

No TV coverage (I'm aware of) until Sunday when the UCI Youtube channel will be broadcasting from 9pm

Unfortunately Eoin Mullen has not managed to progress in the Keirin

After the scratch and IP events (with the dreaded elimination race to come later), Martyn Irvine is in 7th and Caroline Ryan 8th place in their respective Omniums

Eoin was involved in a crash but appears to be ok for sprints tomorrow

Another disappointing performance by Martyn in the elimination race, being the 2nd eliminated and slipping to 18th overall. It's quite close though with the opportunity to pick up quite a few points on the second day, with probably his strongest event the points race (with theoretically no limit on how many points can be gained) to come

Caroline did better, but has slipped to 10th place. Again though the points race provides a great opportunity to make inroads into those ahead of her

A disappointing TT for Ryan, only picking up a single point which drops her to 13th with the flying lap and points race to go. Don't know what's happened with Irvine as he was supposed to go a while ago but has ended up on his own after everyone else had ridden. I'm assuming he's suffered a mechanical. He's taken 16th place, although they have not updated the overall standings yet

Earlier Eoin Mullen just missed out on progressing to the head to heads in the sprint, finishing in 25th place

EDIT - just seen Irvine is in 16th after the TT

Ryan finishes 16th in the Omnium. McCurley fails to progress in the Keirin. Irvine still to go. Live coverage (together with highlights of earlier events) currently on the UCI Youtube channel
